RCCARGPS, also known as "Rikki", will feature waypoint navigation using GPS and an Internal Navigation Unit (INU) that
improve positon accuracy to within 12". Rikki will carry out its instructions by using its 8-processor controller. Each processor will perform dedicated
operations for each sub-system. Waypoints will be assigned by a User Interface developed in NI LabView that
recieves Rikki's location, overlays it on a map provided by a Google map server (via WiFi), and then the user may
provide target locations for navigation, which will be communicated to Rikki via the
XBee radio.
